Sorry i'm be late to join all of you, because i admitted ward in Ampang Puteri Hospital.
all right.. so far so good, still keep healthy..
Abuse is not the woman's fault. Causes for violence are many, but the blame certainly does not lie on the shoulders of the woman being abused. Often, substance abuse is involved with domestic violence. Over half of the defendants accused of murdering their spouses and almost half of the victims of spousal murders were drinking alcohol at the time of the offense.
Alcoholism is a disease. Alcohol can trigger abuse, but is not the cause of abuse. If a person were to become a recovering alcoholic and they bettered themselves, great. However, if that person stops drinking, but continues to be manipulative, judgmental, lies, cheats, and controls - well, this person is an abusive person.
Some believe that alcoholism is not the cause of domestic violence. Alcoholics are self-abusive, but not always abusive towards others. Not every alcoholic is abusive.
* Power and control * Growing up in a cycle of violence and abuse * Distorted concept of manhood
Root Causes of Violence
* Poverty and unemployment * Underemployment and economic disequilibrium * Lack of housing and displacement * Circumstances of racism and injustice * Alcohol and substance abuse * Hopelessness and despair
